My journey, daily responsibility, and the strength that keeps us moving forward.
We are a family that overcomes limitations every day and fights for health, development, and a better future. With love, courage, and hope, we move forward step by step — together.
♡Each of us has a unique story, dreams, and goals. We are united by love, strength, and faith in a better tomorrow.
A special book for children and families about a boy who faces dragons. His greatest powers are courage, love, and hope.
Therapy, treatment, school, events, and our everyday family life.

Today Alex turns nine. It is a joyful day, but also a moment when I realise that half the road to adulthood has already passed. I write about our daily work towards his independence and about securing the future of both my children.

Today is another very important day for us. At this moment Alex is in the operating room. This is the last major operation in our cleft-treatment journey – closure of the cleft using a bone graft taken from his hip.
Dear all,
today is another very important day. My voice trembles when I think about the adventures that still await our little fighter.
At this moment Alex is in the operating room. Thanks to the wonderful team, I was able to stay with him until the anaesthetic was started and hold his hand.
I am very worried about how eating will be after the operation because this is quite an invasive procedure – the gum directly around the teeth will be opened. Still, we have waited a long time for this operation. It is the last major operation in our “cleft complex”. His lip and palate were operated on many years ago; now the cleft closure with a bone graft remained. A piece of bone will be taken from his hip and placed into the cleft.
I am very happy that we are taking this big step now, but of course I am also full of worry. With tears in my eyes, I am sitting outside the hospital writing these words.
In a moment I will return to our room and start planning the budget and therapies for the coming year.
Thanks to your donations, everything for this year is secured and our therapy stays up to the autumn holidays are already planned.
But I already have to look ahead: I am planning next year's therapy stays and need to confirm therapies for the coming school year – for example hippotherapy and osteopathy. We have found a place for hippotherapy again, which makes me incredibly happy because this therapy is so important for him (I have already written a separate post about it).
Please don't forget us. Follow our journey, share the link to our website and invite friends to follow us.
A wide reach helps us enormously and may also translate into financial support for us in the future.
While I wait here, I will continue planning the budget and looking for ways to finance part of the therapies in Poland through various foundations.
Warm greetings to all of you, and please pray for Alex so that he recovers quickly from this operation and is well again soon.

Another period of intensive therapy, exercises and daily work is behind us. Every small step Alex makes is a huge victory for our family.
